libcairo2-dbg software package provides Cairo 2D vector graphics library (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcairo2-dbg
libcairo2-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcairo2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcairo2-dbg *
You will get with libcairo2-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
